How to redeem an H&M gift card online
- Open hm.com for the country in which the card was issued.
- Add the products you want to the basket and continue to checkout.
- Choose “Add gift card”.
- Enter the card number and its PIN.
- Confirm the card and check the amount deducted.
- Pay any remainder with a method offered by that regional checkout.

Where can the card be used?

Use the regional website that matches the card. A PLN card is not a general-purpose H&M card for Germany, and a German EUR card does not become valid in Poland solely because both stores use the H&M name.

Open the official gift-card page for Poland or Germany and use the balance tool with the card number and PIN. You can also ask in a regional store or contact H&M support.
Keep the card data after a part-payment. The unused amount remains on the card and can be applied to a later eligible purchase.
Validity in Poland and Germany
Do not use one deadline for both countries:
- Poland: the public H&M page states two years from the last activation or purchase. It also says cards bought outside H&M, hm.com or SVS UK Limited may follow different conditions. For a Payticon card, the date returned by H&M’s balance tool and the information supplied with the card are decisive.
- Germany: the current German terms state five years from the last activation or purchase. An expired card cannot be reactivated and residual value is not refunded.
Both regional pages state that a card whose balance stays at zero for three months becomes invalid. The German five-year rule must not be shortened to the Polish two-year statement.
Can several H&M cards be combined?
The German terms allow up to ten H&M gift or merchandise cards per online order. The public Polish gift-card page does not provide the same numerical maximum. For Poland, check how many card fields the current checkout accepts or ask support before relying on several cards for one purchase.
If the total exceeds the available card credit, H&M allows a remainder to be paid with another method. The concrete options are those shown by the checkout; they can differ by country, account and order.
Is a digital H&M card reloadable?
H&M describes in-store reloading for a physical gift card. Do not assume this also makes a digital Payticon card reloadable. The purchased e-card includes the value shown on its Payticon product page.
Remaining credit after a partial purchase is different from a reload: the first preserves an unused portion of the original value, while the second would add new money to the card.
Returns after gift-card payment
H&M’s regional terms govern the refund route. With a mixed payment, the additional payment method is handled first and the gift-card-funded share can return as electronic gift credit. Keep the original card number, PIN, receipt and order confirmation until the return has been completed.
The card value itself cannot be paid out in cash or transferred to another gift card. This is separate from any statutory or contractual right relating to the goods purchased with it.

- Does the regional hm.com site match the card country?
- Were the card number and PIN copied without spaces or missing characters?
- Was the card added before the order was placed?
- Is there credit left and is the card still valid?
- On the German site, are you trying to add more than ten gift or merchandise cards?
